as i have retired and am now raising my grand daughter (just turned 10) full time, i have purchased your cookbook to have healthy and delicious meal ideas available for her. i have also had several ‘dozer’ dogs over the years. and have had the honor and privilege to work a dog (German Shepherd) for about 7 years as part of my career as a deputy sheriff. i selfishly thought this was my destiny and dream come true. in reality ,the training was more for me, to provide me the skills i needed ,and, that i would have never obtained anywhere else. i had no idea at the time that this endeavor was to prepare ‘me’ and give me the skill set necessary to raise this child. i didn’t know then that it was i who was being trained for one of the more challenging roles i have ever encountered. but now i can’t thank that animal enough for the person he helped turn me into….. amazing….i strive every day to make him proud of his human…as he so deserves….may he rest in peace now…..and i will end with one of my favorite quotes…“If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.”
