What caught my attention was Dozer, as I had at the time an old girl golden retriever (Pi) n I inadvertently found YOU!
I am a 72-year-old 3rd generation Japanese born n bred in Hilo, Hawaii n have lived in Oz for 49 years.
I live in Lillian Rock, NSW…in the bush…in a home my Kiwi partner n I built ourselves when we were in our 50s…n have a gorgeous ex-racing greyhound who is a propa gentleman n perfect mate for us oldies! His name is Roo…n yes…he looks just like one.
I have been a keen cook for 50 years n have cooked in a few cafes around the traps n was thinking of getting your cookbook, as I can totally get your Japanese/Ozzie vibe. A fellow countrywoman n golden retriever lover.
Pi passed away last year at 13 1/2 years n it was the heartbreak that rocked our world…until we brought Roo home n found a new ‘normal’.
Congrats on your book’s success…u sooo deserve every accolade u receive…U took a huge gamble n boy did it pay off. Onya!
